A BRIEF HISTORY

Thomas Simpson founded Metal Manufacturing Services (MMS) in 1997 and continues to be the owner / operator of this industry leading fabrication and finishing shop. Now known as 'Powder Coat Professionals' 

In his words - 

'For nearly 20 years our specialty was building custom race cars, focusing on the oval track community nationwide. After many years of successful winning cars and referrals to build them, many of the tracks have been zoned out and the demand for sportsman cars all but disappeared.  We  decided to use our skills, equipment and experience in metal fabrication, custom automotive and finishing to a new mission the way we always approach racing!.'

'We wanted to focus on a market for custom, top quality fabrication and finishing of a wide range of projects.  We started working with a number of car restoration for muscle car, hot rod shops and enthusiast.  This led into vehicle panels and many other non-automotive type projects.'

'Today we work on a wide range of projects from custom project cars and motorcycles to store / retail displays, architectural and interior design pieces for home restorations, commercial railing and fencing, you name it.'

'I have to admit, I am often too picky on getting things perfect and often more than our customers, it may take extra time, but our work is our brand, our name.  I want everything done as if it was my own.'

'We now have a large open shop, with the ability to bring in projects that many shops can’t handle. Our equipment list includes an incredible plasma cutting system, MIG/ TIG welding, CNC press brake, the sheet metal forming and pipe bending. We have a fully equipped Custom Auto and Truck service bay. Our powder coat line includes top of the line Wagner guns and a 20ft oven. '
